Lindsay Lohan - Smokes Up a Sexy Marilyn Monroe

Lindsay Lohan posed as Marilyn Monroe. Now Lindasy stuck with it. She reprized the 50s screen siren for the UK’s Love magazine. She also brings back 1940s glamor to cigarette smoking, and you know where that got us. In the Monroe-inspired photo shoot, she does a tough-girl pose with a cigarette dangling from her heavily rouged, bee-stung lips. Lohan seems to know how to handle a Marlboro light. She’s reportedly a chain smoker. Apparently, so was Monroe. She posed for numerous photos smoking. Of course, back then the connection with lung cancer wasn’t quite as well known as it is now. Today, more women die from lung cancer than breast cancer, according to medical authorities. By now, Lohan probably has the lungs of a 60-year-old woman. Her skin is also showing signs of heavy cigarette damage. Lohan has gotten more mileage out of Marilyn Monroe than almost any other actress.

Lindsay Lohan - Prescription Problem

It turns out that troubled Mean Girls actress Lindsay Lohan's recent problems could have been caused by a misdiagnosis.

According to TMZ, doctors at the UCLA Medical Center, where Lohan, 24, is currently serving a court-ordered 90-day inpatient stay, reportedly believe that the star was misdiagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, otherwise known as ADHD.

The drug Adderall is commonly prescribed to treat the disorder and may have caused Lohan to display the irrational manic symptoms similar to someone who is abusing cocaine or methamphetamine.

Dr. Peter Breggin, a psychiatrist and leading expert on the dangers of the over-prescribing of psychiatric drugs, told MTV News it doesn’t really matter if Lohan was misdiagnosed or not. “Whether or not she was misdiagnosed, [Adderall] will have the same effect,” said Breggin.

Breggin is the author of Medication Madness: The Role of Psychiatric Drugs in Cases of Violence, Suicide, and Crime. Although he is not familiar with the details of Lohan’s case, he continues to explain about misconceptions about Adderall.

“It's a myth that it will have a different effect whether you have ADHD or not. If she was given Adderall, it's entirely possible she would have a reaction that was indistinguishable from that of methamphetamine or cocaine, including producing manic or psychotic behavior.”

With all the new information in mind, the new judge in the case will meet with lawyers next week to discuss a possible early release for Lohan.

Lindsay Lohan - Can Make a Difference in India?

Lindsay Lohan’s reputation with that of Mother Teresa’s, they now do have one thing in common: Concern for the underprivileged in India.

The BBC recently released a trailer previewing its documentary, Lindsay Lohan in India, which follows the actress’s week long visit in December to the subcontinent. Her intent: To investigate the trafficking of women and children. According to the BBC, during her journey Lohan meets young boys who work 16-hour days for pitiful wages, under the constant threat of beatings. In Kalkata, she visits a shelter where young girls promised work as maids were instead forced into brothels. She also encounters a reformed trafficker who once lured girls away from their families.

To find out why a parent would send a child away to work, the 23-year old star also travels to rural West Bengal, a painfully impoverished province. In the trailer it’s clear that Lohan is searching for answers and confused by what she encounters. Confronting a mother who allowed traffickers to take her daughter away, Lohan, dressed demurely in a black headscarf, asks her through a translator: “Didn’t you hear from other traffickers that children were abused? And that some girls were raped and prostituted and subjected to horrible things?”

It’s hard to know what prompted Lohan to crusade for human rights in India, opting for brothel visits and salwar kameezes over L.A. nightclubs and Gucci handbags for seven long days. But dozens of bloggers and posters have snickered at the thought of reformed party girl Lohan picking her way past cow paddies and communing with the poor folk of India. Of Lohan’s crusade, one Internet commentator wrote: “I am sick of these spoiled stars exploiting the poor to improve their own PR.”

Lohan’s mom, Dina Lohan, for one, is convinced that the trip has improved the life of at least one person – namely, her daughter.

"It was an amazing, life-changing experience for her," Lindsay's mom, Dina, told PEOPLE magazine "I'm so proud of Lindsay, that under all the scrutiny the tabloids put her under, she is a very strong, caring, talented girl who ignores all the negative, and continues to move forward in a positive direction. I am so proud of her."

Leonardo DiCaprio, Lindsay Lohan party with ‘Jersey Shore’ cast

Leonardo DiCaprio and Lindsay Lohan recently partied with the cast of MTV’s reality show ‘Jersey Shore.’

The occasion was the launch of Vida, a new “luxury pleasure object” at West Hollywood hotspot Voyeur.

DiCaprio was spotted in the club’s back entrance with cast members Pauly D, Snooki and Mike “The Situation.”

“Were dancing together and having a great time in the VIP together. Leo was loving it and really bonding with the ‘Jersey Shore’ people,” Fox News quoted a source as saying.

Meanwhile, Lohan came to the party with mother Dina.

However, she spent the night getting affectionate with alleged lover, DJ Jus Ske.
